Welcome to the Yorktown Democratic Committee website!
The YDC is a local, grassroots organization whose mission it is to serve our community and to be the voice of Yorktown Democrats. Yorktown is a vibrant and dynamic community with a constituency deserving of responsive, open government. It is the mission of the YDC to identify and support qualified Democratic candidates for elected office and to support our elected officials as they work to govern our Town.
The YDC also participates in local events and sponsors community organizations such as the Grange Fair and the Foundation for Excellence in Yorktown Education. In fact, in furtherance of building community, the YDC recently launched an internship program in coordination with the Civic Internship Program at Yorktown High School. Partnering with our youth and teaching principles of good government to our future leaders is the type of ideal pursued by the Yorktown Democratic Committee.
